Outline of the Symposium
New educational materials using robotics result in new learning methodologies and have impacted the teaching methods, especially in science and technology courses. The objective of the International Symposium on robotics in Education is to provide a forum for the presenting and discussing the latest advances of improvements and challenges for education using new educational resources where robotics plays a key role.  It will serve as a communication platform of school teachers around the world.  The Symposium welcomes original technical papers addressing teaching and new materials on education using robotics.  In addition, speakers will be invited from academia, industry, and government to address novel teaching and new materials.

The call for papers is to solicit papers for the oral sessions which are designed to be highly interactive.  The official language of the Symposium is English.  Those interested should submit a manuscript describing original work.
Areas of interest, but not limited to, include:
--Novel teaching methodology
--New teaching materials
--Creative teaching

Scope of the Symposium
The scope of the symposium will be related to new teaching materials in elementary schools, junior and senior high schools, universities and colleges.

Who Should Present
Teachers and practitioners from elementary schools, junior and senior high schools, universities and colleges, government, and people who are interested in education and teaching.
Each speaker will be given 30 minutes and must provide his/her own powerpoint presentation/video.

Who Can Attend
School teachers, professors, scientists, researchers, students, education practitioners, government officers, and people who are interested in education and teaching.
 
Paper Submission and supports
The working language of the conference is English. Authors are requested to prepare the extended abstract (500 words). The extended abstract should include paper title, authors and affiliation, keywords and use the template available in the Symposium Website.

Abstract paper : about 500 words
Full Paper : 3 to 6 pages
All accepted papers must be presented.

Deadline for abstract paper:September 15, 2010
Camera-Ready Paper Due : October 15, 2010
