The 22nd Philippine Robotics Olympiad / World Robot Olympiad Philippines 2023 held August 10-11, 2023 at SUBIC Gym Sports Complex , SBMA , Olongapo City , has culminated in an awe-inspiring display of innovation, technology, and talent, solidifying its status as the longest-running robotics competition in the country. Thousands of participants and enthusiastic spectators gathered to witness this remarkable event, showcasing the nation's commitment to science, technology, and education.

Supported by three esteemed government agencies - the Department of Education (DepEd) the Department of Scienceand Technology - Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and other relevant stakeholders - the 22nd Philippine Robotics Olympiad transcended geographical boundaries, encompassing a truly nationwide platform for budding young minds to showcase their brilliance in robotics and automation.

The Philippine Robotics Olympiad has consistently served as a beacon of inspiration and learning, allowing students from all corners of the Philippines to engage in cutting-edge technological challenges. The competition has provided a unique opportunity for students to expand their knowledge, enhance problem-solving skills, and cultivate teamwork.

The visit was a significant step in strengthening the ties between the Department of Education Division of Lapu Lapu City and FELTA Multimedia, a renowned leader in educational technology and content development. The collaborative efforts aim to elevate the standard of education in Lapu lapu City through the integration of advanced multimedia technologies in the classroom.

World Robot Olympiad has expanded the set of competitions offered for students around the world by adding a new competition: "Future Engineers". Using AI Steam Robotics kits, Gear Box (Arduino) Robotics Kits , LEGO Education EV3 or LEGO Education SPIKE Prime Robotics Kits.

The WRO Future Engineers category is a self driving car competition. SHS and College Students ages 14 to 19 will design a model car, equip it with electromechanical components, and program it so it will be able to autonomously drive on a track and avoid obstacles.
