DEPED-ETU Free Live Webinar Virtual Robotics for Stem Education

To continue the Digital building of EV3 Simulation Robots, DepEd – Educational Technology Unit in partnership with FELTA Multi-Media Inc. and supported by Cogmation Robotics, CANADA conducted a Free Live Webinar on Virtual Robotics for STEM Education. Mylene Abiva, President, FELTA Multi -Media Inc. gave an Inspirational Talk and Continuum of the Live Webinar, Tim Shea, Business Development Director, Cogmation Robotics, Canada gave a talk on The Future Careers in STEM Education and Virtual Robotics with Priyanka Tuteja, Operations Manager, Cogmation Robotics to answer technical questions. Brian Dam,  Territory Manager for Southeast Asia, LEGO Education, Billund, Denmark joined the panel. Mark Anthony Sy, Head, DepEd -Educational Technology Unit gave the DepEd ETU plans for  deployment of Robotics Technology and Artificial Intelligence for DepEd schools nationwide. Annalyn Aban, LEGO Education Academy Trainer and FELTA Master Teacher conducted the Virtual Robotics Training. Winners of the 1st Philippine Virtual Robotics Challenge (Elementary Level): Owen Gocheco, Aleana Beato and Sire Villanueva Garcia conducted a Virtual Robotics demonstration and amazed the Educators, Cogmation Robotics and LEGO Education guests. Mark Anthony Jamisal and Joy Gervacio Salazar from Department of Education were the moderators. A Ninja Name Picker for Raffle was held  for participants. Lucky winners were given LEGO Education items. Over 185,823 views (and increasing)  at DepEd Edtech Face book Live and another 10,566 views in You Tube Robotics Technology using LEGO (Day 2). The successful 2 day Free Live Webinar organized by FELTA Multi-Media Inc. encouraged the Department of Education -Educational Technology Unit to pursue future collaboration in the near future.
