TESDA Skills Demonstration at City Colleges, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) through its Bulacan Provincial Office held a “serbisyo” caravan anchored on the Agency’s latest guiding principle, “Sa TESDA, Lingap ay Maaasahan” at the City College of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan yesterday, July 11. The services showcased included information dissemination and TVET Enrollment, skills demonstration, and awarding of starter toolkits to the training graduates. This is in support to the “Lab For All” nationwide program of First Lady Liza-Araneta Marcos.
During the activity, TESDA Director General, Secretary Suharto T. Mangudadatu led the ceremonial awarding of toolkits to 59 scholars together with Deputy Director General for TESD Operations, DDG Aniceto “John” Bertiz III and Governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu.
In his speech, Secretary Mangudadatu emphasized that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., through TESDA, will continue to provide services to the Filipinos through upskilling that they can use in their various line of work. He also stressed the importance of high-tech technology equipment that was presented during the skills demonstration.
Skills Demonstration in different trade areas were showcased during the said activity. These were Hydroponics, facilitated by the Bulacan Association of Tech-Voc Schools (BATVS); Bread/Pastry Making by KorPhil Training Center; Coffee Brewing (Barista) by Colegio de San Martin and Extended Reality (XR)-Welding, Robotics and Mechatronics by TESDA NCR; and Infant robotics and XR Technology by FELTA Techvoc Academy. Mylene Abiva, President , FELTA Multi-Media presented FELTA emerging tech products for TESDA .  FELTA Techvoc Academy Mobile Robotics team represented by Kristin Bernardino and Nicole Flores demonstrated the Mobile Robot that will compete in ASEAN WorldSkills Singapore in July 18-28,2023 in Singapore.
Also present in the program were Regional Director Toni June Tamayo; Bulacan Provincial Director Gerty Pagaran; all the Provincial Directors and TESDA Technology Institution Administrators from Region III. The TESDA Bulacan team organized the said activity.
Several partner private tech-voc Institutions and more than a hundred TESDA scholars supported the event.
The “Lab for All” caravan of the Office of the First Lady provides free medical services to the public, such as laboratory testing, consultations, and medications. The Lab for All subsequently developed into a comprehensive caravan that provides our kababayan with additional critical services.
